We are happy to answer any questions you may have concerning your gasket and sealing applications.

Our knowledge across a wide range of industries goes back to the mid 1970’s and beyond.

Our ISO9001:2008 approval also covers us for the design of parts, and we use both 2D and 3D CAD programs to produce detailed drawings of parts prior to production.

We are also linked to our industries main trade association, so can call on the knowledge of our trading partners in the UK and Europe where necessary.

Q: What material is best for . . . . .

A: We are asked to recommend rubbers for all sorts of conditions - temperature, gas leakage, chemical resistance, IP rating - are the most common - by providing us with the full information, we can advise optional materials along with expected life-span.

Q: What torque setting do we need to apply to obtain . . . .

A: We are able to calculate bolt loadings based on basic information such as flange type, size, face area, number and size of bolts, working temperature, cycling etc. This information can be provided using KlingerExpert software, used by many large petrochemical companies.

Q: Can you offer ‘easy-slide’ low coefficient of friction rubber . . . .

A: We have successfully compounded various rubbers using fillers such as graphite and PTFE to provide a ‘slippery’ surface - especially suitable for reciprocating seals running at high temperatures and speeds.

Q: We need Non-Asbestos gaskets in 6mm thickness . . . .

A: We hold standard thickness non-asbestos up to 4mm - but can easily laminate material using a special adhesive to obtain thicker sheets to cut gaskets to any thickness - we regularly cut 6mm and 8mm parts.

Q: We require ±0.001” tolerance on these carbon parts  . . . .

A: We now have both CNC and high pressure moulding capability to make parts to Aerospace standards of ±0.001”

Q: I can’t find a gasket cutter to cut this thickness to tolerance  . . . .

A: Our Water-Jet machinery can cut rubbers up to 250mm thick - we regularly cut materials at 30mm, 40mm and 50mm thick
