Softcut Gaskets
We use the different processes to manufacture ‘soft-cut’ gaskets - rotary cutters, CNC Milling, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Presses, Automatic Travelling Head Presses, Auto-Knives, Oscillating Knives, Water-Jet Cutting and Hand Fabrication - however manual production of gaskets is now almost completely taken over by CAD produced files running on ultra-fast cutting machines.The machinery is run by fully trained, experienced staff at production facilities in Manchester, Cardiff and Sudbury, Suffolk - and with further Klinger production at Bradford, Runcorn, Grangemouth, Aberdeen, Middlesborough and Southampton for high pressure gaskets such as Spiral Wounds, Ovals, Heat Exchanger gaskets etc.
We are able to supply gaskets next day on a 24/7 basis, almost every day of the year.
We classify ‘soft-cut’ gaskets as parts made in flexible, or semi flexible materials.
These include all types of rubbers, corks, felt, papers, plastics (ie PTFE), non-asbestos, graphite, mica, and foil or tanged/pegged metal reinforced materials along with more expensive materials such a silver loaded silicones.
